LUCC Meeting MinutesJune 3, 2010 Treasures Report – Tammy Den Ouden·         Tammy was informed this week that Judy will no longer be the treasurer.·         Tammy asked for a volunteer to take over the treasurers duties.·         After the meeting a member from LTD volunteered; however, this will need to be voted on in the August meeting.   Publicity & Education – Ted Jordon & Brian Soria·         Due to hectic work schedules there are no new updates Damage Report – Eugene Blair·         See attached report. Old Business·         Tammy provided information on the OUNC meeting she attended last month.  See attached Highlights & Meeting Minutes.  Also, Kevin with OUNC will email information (attached) New Business·         No meeting in July.·         EWEB’s Ken Beeson will be the presenter in August.  He will talk about the Roosevelt Operations Center Project. Program – Erosion prevention/construction management                        City of Eugene:§  Ed Fredette – 541-682-8471§  Dal Ollek – 541-501-0381§  Steve Norris – 541-682-8423City of Springfield:§  Todd Singleton – 541-726-5931§  Ben Gibson·         To do Right-of-way work in Eugene or Springfield you need a permit.·         City of Eugene & City of Springfield have permits on file to discharge water into the right-of-ways.·         City of Springfield is a little behind the City of Eugene in the permits process.  They both have to follow the same rules but the City of Springfield is still working to get signed off to do all that the City of Eugene can do.·         There are fees for obtaining a permit to work in a city right-of-way.  The counties have their own rules.·         The “Big 3’s” you should have before working in a right-of-way:o   Equipment & materials lined upo   Safety gearo   Storm water protection  ·         Top things to help protect storm watero   Doing concrete work?§  Shop vac – way to capture material.o   Excavating?§  Protect inlet – put block in catch basin.§  There are many options for protecting the inlet.·         Most stuff caught in the inlet guard can be disposed off in the landfill.
